So I spent a couple of hours last night looking at youtube videos about intermediate fasting. I looked for both positive and negative videos. I also watched some videos that were based on scientific research in relation to fasting. I have decided to give it a try. Since I went through menopause my weight has gone up and I have not been able to lose as easily as I have in the past. I cannot eat more than 1200 calories without gaining weight. Last January in the midst of a really deep depression I gained 20 pounds in one month. I am ready to do something about that. I need to do this for my health. I was at a healthy weight about 5 years ago. I do not want diabetes and high blood pressure back in my life. I want to live long enough to see my great grandchildren. I feel so much better when I am at a healthy weight for me.
Today I am beginning with the plan to eat between 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.. I will continue to track what I am eating so I can keep my calories below 1200. I will be back to tell you about my experience. Let’s do this!
